Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using our services

Effective Date: January 2025

By accessing or using the website, services, or programmes offered by the Imperial Institute of Ceramic Science and Technology (IICST), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Membership Terms

  • Membership in IICST is open to individuals and organisations meeting the eligibility criteria specified for each membership category (Individual, Corporate, MSME, Student).
  • Membership is granted at the sole discretion of IICST. We reserve the right to decline any application without providing reasons.
  • Membership is non-transferable and may not be assigned to another person or entity.
  • Members are required to keep their contact and professional details up to date through the member portal.
  • Annual membership fees are due on or before the renewal date. Failure to renew within the grace period may result in suspension or lapse of membership.
  • IICST reserves the right to terminate membership for conduct unbecoming a professional, breach of these terms, or non-payment of dues, following a fair review process.

2. Course & Event Registration

  • Registration for courses, examinations, and events is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.
  • IICST reserves the right to reschedule, modify, or cancel any course or event due to insufficient enrolment, faculty unavailability, or circumstances beyond our control. Registered participants will be notified promptly and offered a rescheduled date or a full refund.
  • Participants must meet any stated eligibility or prerequisite requirements. IICST reserves the right to deny entry or registration if requirements are not met.
  • Certificates are issued upon successful completion of the programme and payment of any applicable certificate issuance fees. Replacement certificates may be subject to an administrative charge.

3. Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@iicst.org.
  • Refunds for courses and events are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

4. Payment

  • All fees are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
  • Payments are processed securely through Razorpay. IICST does not store card or bank account information on its servers.
  • Membership fees, once paid, are non-refundable except as expressly stated in the Refund Policy.

5. Code of Conduct

All members, students, and participants are expected to conduct themselves with integrity, professionalism, and respect for others. Harassment, discrimination, plagiarism, or any conduct that brings IICST into disrepute is grounds for immediate suspension or expulsion without refund.

6. Intellectual Property

  • All content on the IICST website — including text, images, course materials, study guides, examination papers, and logos — is the intellectual property of IICST or its licensors and is protected under applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.
  • You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any IICST content without prior written permission.
  • Course and examination materials provided to enrolled students are for personal study only and may not be shared, sold, or published.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IICST shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of our services. Our total liability in any matter shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for the relevant service.

8. Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Vadodara, Gujarat, India.

10. Amendments

IICST reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
